This 143:1 gearmotor is the right-angle version of the GM8 and the high-speed version of the GM3.
This 143:1 gearmotor (gearbox with motor) is a faster version of the GM3 gearmotor. It is a great low-cost alternative to modified hobby servos or Tamiya gearboxes. The low-current motor is a perfect match for our micro dual serial motor controller, and the compact size of 2.78" x 1.06" x 0.91" (70.5mm x 27mm x 23mm) makes this unit an attractive choice for small robot designs. At 5 V, the gearbox and motor provide 43 oz * in. of torque and 66 RPM, which is faster than a standard RC servo. The free-running current is 74 mA, and the stall current is 670 mA. This motor also comes with a built-in safety clutch. This gearmotor comes pre-assemebled, with the gears fully enclosed. There are built-in mounting holes, and the output shaft is 7 mm in diameter with two sides flattened. Please note that the output shaft is slightly shorter than on the GM2 and GM3 gearmotors. A custom-molded GMPW plastic wheel for this gearmotor is available. For similar gearmotors, you might want to take a look at:
To increase the power of this gearbox, you can replace the motor with a higher-power RM2 motor. Note: This gearmotor does not come with mounting hardware, instructions, or packaging. Please note that the output shaft is slightly shorter than on the GM2 and GM3 gearmotors. |
