New Website Launched
We launched the new Pololu.com website in February, bringing many needed features:
- Product pages with pictures, resources, FAQs, and other information to help you find what you need for your project.
- Fast checkout with secure credit card processing. Choose between entering your credit card information on our site or paying with your PayPal account.
- Secure account access with tracking information for your current order and a record of your entire order history. If you have ordered before, an account was automatically created for you, so don’t forget to log in and check it out.
We’ll be constantly adding new features to make the site more efficient and personalized for you.
Robotics Forum Continues to Grow
There’s been a lot of great discussion recently about building robots on the Pololu robotics forum at forum.pololu.com. Whether you want basic electronics help, advice about which parts to use for that next robot project, or technical support for Pololu products, ask a question here and someone will probably answer it within a few hours. Post pictures of your latest project and everyone will get to see what you’ve been working on!

The Orangutan LV-168 is a full-featured controller for low-voltage robots. Thanks to a step-up voltage regulator, you can power this Orangutan with two or three 1.2-1.5 V batteries while maintaining 5 V operation for its Atmel mega168 AVR microcontroller and your sensors. This lower-power, smaller, and lower-cost version of the TReX is the ultimate general-purpose motor controller for small motors: it has a wide operating range (5 to 24 V), delivers 2.5 A continuously per motor, provides current sensing on the two main channels, and it features the TReX triple interface that allows you to control motors from a serial line (RS-232 or TTL), radio control (RC) receiver, or analog voltage source such as a potentiometer.
