Frustrated by those cheap, low-voltage motors that require too much current? Here’s the answer: a low-voltage motor controller designed specifically for those toy motors. With all of the convenience of the Pololu dual serial motor controllers and the added ability to deliver 5 amps per motor with no minimum motor voltage, this dual serial motor controller has you covered.

A high-power version of our 3-Amp motor controller, the SMCO4 has the same convenient interfaces (serial, hobby RC pulse, or analog) and improved (10-bit) closed-loop PID control of motor speed or position, all with a more powerful motor driver that can handle higher-current motors.

This product has been replaced by the Jrk 21v3 USB Motor Controller with Feedback.
If you want more current than our small motor controllers can handle, or if you want to do position or speed feedback to make your own closed-loop servo system, take a look at our 3-Amp motor controller!

The dual serial motor controller allows any microcontroller or computer with a serial port (external RS-232 level converter required) to drive two bidirectional DC motors with full 7-bit speed-control. Multiple motor controllers can be controlled with a single serial line, and they are compatible with our other serial motor controllers and serial servo controllers. This unit is available assembled as well.
